About the role
Adyen is looking for a strategic, hands-on and creative PR manager. This role will work from our Tokyo office and report directly to the Head of PR & Communications, APAC. This is a matrixed role collaborating across APAC and Global Marketing teams to generate brand awareness, manage reputation, and create thought leadership for Adyen. Develop and execute in-market PR strategies and programs to drive media coverage. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, commercial leads, and with senior leadership to craft compelling messaging and local storylines This role is based out of our Tokyo office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
What you'll bring
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in PR or communications field
- Flexible & tenacious: Does what it takes to get things done, and ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Exceptional storytelling and editing skills: You are comfortable writing, reviewing, and giving feedback on copy for different audiences
- Collaborative nature and team player, and a desire to work in a multicultural environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think ahead, engage proactively and make great things happen
- Have a successful track record in high tech branding to business audiences
- You are a competent project manager who can drive PR and creative projects from brief to completion and are able to measure and report on effectiveness of our PR efforts.
- Excellent command of the Japanese language and business-level communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20%+
