About the role
The Procurement Systems Lead is the primary operator for procurement technology, process, and spend analytics, reporting to the Senior Manager. Procurement Leadership sets direction and priorities. This role turns that direction into movement: prioritized work, owned timelines, clean systems, trusted spend data, and measurable results. This is not a pure strategy seat and not a ticket-only systems analyst role. The right person can sit in a planning meeting, leave with intent, and then drive execution across people, process, platforms, and analytics. When the work requires it, they get into the system themselves: configurations, integrations, classification, data quality, reporting, and exception handling. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN etc). This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in procurement operations, systems, or source-to-pay — with hands-on experience configuring or administering at least one major platform (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Jaggaer, or comparable).
- Working knowledge of spend analytics — taxonomy, supplier normalization, spend cubes, and category reporting
- Able to work at two altitudes — planning with leadership and executing in the system alongside users and technical partners.
- Strong communicator — able to translate data into clear recommendations for category managers, brief leadership, and train end users.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, information systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience leading a system implementation, major upgrade, or process redesign from requirements through adoption.
- Familiarity with integrations (APIs, middleware, file feeds), identity/access, and analysis tools such as SQL, Excel at an advanced level, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience managing classification rules, exception queues, and data quality SLAs on a spend analytics platform.
- Competencies
- Owns the mission after intent is set.
- Bias to action: moves work forward, closes loops, and makes the next step obvious.
- Technical fluency: willing to open the system, reproduce the issue, inspect the spend record, and stay with it until it is understood.
