About the role
On-site only: This position is not remote. You must be able to work from our Provo, Utah office during normal business hours (Monday–Friday). Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed for critical launches and go-lives.
What you'll bring
- You must be able to work from our Provo, Utah office during normal business hours (Monday–Friday).
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or similar) plus HTML/CSS and responsive design.
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL including indexing, query optimization, and migrations with a pragmatic approach to data modeling.
- Solid background in RESTful services, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Strong communicator who can explain tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to deliver outcomes in a startup environment.
- Backend expertise in Go, Rust, or Python with a strong understanding of API design, concurrency, and performance tuning.
- Go preferred
- familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
