About the role

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our software engineering organization. In this role, you’ll work as part of a skilled, collaborative team to build and maintain solutions for the Post Order/Order Management team. You will play a crucial role in the Xometry platform, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our services. Teaching & Mentorship: You will serve as a mentor and guide to engineers across the organization, teaching and mentoring them to grow their skills.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Backend development with Python (services, APIs, data-driven systems).
• Backend microservices and REST API design using Node.js.
• Frontend development with React and TypeScript, with a focus on scalable UI design and usability.
• Experience with AWS is required, including deploying, monitoring, and scaling production workloads.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers across levels, and influence product and business decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from junior ICs to executives.
