About the role
Teranet is seeking a driven IT Manager to lead the designated Application Group comprising Developers, Quality Assurance professionals, contractors, and vendors, while serving as a functional and technical leader supporting the delivery and ongoing success of application solutions within the Registries portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Registries Solutions, you will act as an essential business partner, ensuring effective day-to-day operations and strategic execution across the full product lifecycle. What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in managing mission-critical and fault-resilient applications, handling large volumes of transactions and users.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in account management in a medium-sized company, working as a business partner to support business targets.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in capacities where financial planning and budgeting were core responsibilities.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in people leadership roles, leading cross-functional teams of 10+ individuals with diverse expertise and varying levels of experience.
- Ability to present at all levels of the organization, up to the Executives.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and emerging software development best practices.
- Previous experience with performance reporting and balanced scorecard an asset.
- Experience in working with public sector organizations is highly desirable.
- Java development background is preferred.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology is an asset.
- Knowledge of AHA, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence, Workday or other equivalent enterprise monitoring tools is an asset.
