About the role
YWCA York’s victim services programs—ACCESS York and the Victim Assistance Center—are York County’s sole providers of comprehensive support services to victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Through direct services, prevention education, and community engagement, YWCA York works to end abuse and strengthen community response. YWCA York is committed to being an accessible, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed organization in support of its mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The Prevention and Community Outreach Advocate coordinates and delivers age-appropriate, evidence-based primary prevention education in area schools and collaborates with community partners to support coordinated violence prevention efforts.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social work, or a related field OR a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
- Completion of PCAR/PCADV-required training within 90 days of hire
- Experience working with youth preferred
