About the role

The Failure Analysis Process (FAP) Engineer is responsible for identifying and solving problems related to the body-in-white manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. This role involves analyzing process data, troubleshooting issues, designing process improvements, and collaborating with the quality and production teams to maintain consistent quality and meet product specifications. Residing in New York City : This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.

• 5-7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control concepts or a related field, including hands-on experience with body-in-white production and processes.
• Proven experience with VDA standards is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, quality OR 10 years of related technical field experience.
• Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials, including familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and best practices in the body-in-white processes.
• Strong understanding of VDA standards and their application in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of process auditing techniques and methodologies.
