About the role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist residents with all aspects of activities of daily living which includes: toileting at least every 2 hours and prn, offering bed pans and urinal, bathing, grooming, dressing, mouth care, shaving, skin care, turning and repositioning every 2 hours and prn, peri-care, keeping skin dry and odor free, assist/feed residents as needed, provide fresh water and encourage fluid intake, keep hearing aids, denture and eyeglasses clean, functional and in place. Promptly and courteously answers call lights to determine residents' needs within 5 minutes. Transports residents or assists residents to walk.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Must be certified as a nursing assistant, by the department of Health, within four months of date of hire.
