About the role
Base is scaling the future of energy, and we’re looking for a Journeyman Electrician who thrives in the field. You will be on-site daily—pulling wire, opening panels, troubleshooting real problems, and setting the standard through action. You are the technical backbone of our Houston, TX battery fleet. While you’ll guide others, your primary value comes from doing the work yourself and doing it right. The Installers team is a fast-moving group of problem-solvers who believe great systems are built in the field—not on paper. We value people who show up, take ownership, and do the hard work day in and day out. As part of the Houston, TX team, you’ll bridge engineering intent with real-world execution, ensuring every Base installation sets the bar for the industry. Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
What you'll bring
- Valid Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license.
- 4+ years of relevant electrical work, specifically with battery backups, EV chargers, or whole-home generators.
- A "fix-it-right-the-first-time" attitude and the ability to explain technical concepts to both crews and inspectors.
- Ability to clearly explain work and corrections to installers, inspectors, and homeowners.
