About the role
The Data Analyst I plays a key role in supporting the generation, integrity, and delivery of genotypic data. This position collaborates with teams to ensure accurate data transmission to customers via LIMS and FTP platforms, assists in data formatting for downstream analysis, and performs quality control reviews. This role also contributes to process improvement initiatives, supports departmental objectives, and adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures and ISO 17025 standards. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective task prioritization, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new tools and workflows.
What you'll bring
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in genetics, molecular biology, biology, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of laboratory operations experience related to genomics.
- Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence and effectively presenting information to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in solving practical problems and interpreting standardized instructions delivered in various formats (written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks effectively, work collaboratively in a team environment, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with tools for managing large datasets, quality standards, and network/browser-based applications
- intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
