About the role

Lumos & Associates is seeking a motivated Civil Project Designer to join our Reno office and support a growing portfolio of civil engineering projects across Northern Nevada. This position will support the planning and design of a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who is working toward professional licensure (P.E.) and is eager to grow their technical expertise while contributing to meaningful, community-focused work. This role supports the development of a strong foundation in civil engineering design within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design or a related role.
• Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification (passed FE exam)
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including preparation of site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts.
• Basic understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (3 or fewer demerit points).
• Familiarity with GIS software (such as ArcGIS/ArcPro) is a plus.
