About the role

HASI is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our accounting team in Annapolis, MD. In this role, you will support the company’s income tax life cycle, including planning, compliance, and advisory functions. The Senior Tax Associate will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient tax compliance and reporting, while also contributing to process improvements and special projects within the tax department.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or active pursuit of CPA required
• At least three years total relevant experience, including tenure at a national public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a publicly traded company
• Strong knowledge of US corporate and partnership tax compliance is required
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Renewable energy and/or financial services industry experience preferred
• Familiarity with ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes (US GAAP), including relevant tax disclosures required in SEC filings preferred
