About the role

Canvassers support our organization in getting our message out using door-to-door conversations, building our base, and winning progressive change. This position is ideal for an outgoing person who likes walking and having conversations about elections, public health issues, and social justice issues like climate, community, and schools. Drivers are expected to Ride-Share Members/Fellow Canvassers. For safety reasons, the Canvass team uses a buddy system and will pair or group Canvassers to work collectively. Canvassers use their personal vehicle to transport fellow canvassers and may transport members in our community organizing efforts. Safe driving practices and maintaining appropriate automobile insurance are essential requirements of this position.

• Ability to read and interpret scripts and change scripts regularly and easily
• Reliable insured transportation, a valid Driver’s License and the ability and willingness to drive for work
