About the role
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing advanced electrical systems that power high-speed rotating equipment, with a focus on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for AC motors, DC motor controllers for DC motor applications, motor controls, and the integration of industrial communication protocols. This role ensures robust, efficient, and reliable electrical solutions by leveraging expertise in power electronics, motor design, and control algorithms, while incorporating best practices in thermal management, EMI/EMC compliance, and manufacturing processes. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and product management teams to take designs from concept through prototyping and into full-scale production. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with hands-on manufacturing knowledge and a passion for continuous improvement in both design and production processes.

- Strong knowledge with AC and DC Motor and power electronics design principles
- Proficiency in software and programming tools, including: MATLAB / Simulink, LabVIEW, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSpice or similar circuit simulation software, Ansys Maxwell or similar, Python, C++, and Creo Parametric or Solidworks.
- Experience with thermal management, EMI/EMC considerations, and mechanical integration.
- UL regulatory compliance experience and relevant standards for electrical systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols beyond CAN (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT).
- Experience with high-speed rotating machinery.
- Possess strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
