About the role
As Superintendent I, you will oversee field crews and help manage the successful delivery of environmental construction projects. In this role, you'll combine construction expertise with ecological awareness to drive safety, quality, and efficiency on site. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong field experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of both construction processes and restoration best practices. This position requires weekly travel throughout the Southeast, with overnight stays typically occurring Monday through Friday based on project location. Your day starts by leading a tailgate safety meeting and reviewing the day's goals with your crew. On site, you’ll lead construction tasks, monitor equipment readiness, and ensure that work is progressing safely and according to plan. You’ll conduct site safety inspections, coach others on safe practices, and report incidents promptly to EHS&S and your supervisor.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of construction or ecological field experience
- 3+ years of experience as a construction foreman or field crew lead
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a Samsara driving score above 70
- Experience reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and layouts
- Experience in stream restoration construction, including planting, excavation, and erosion control
- Understanding of ecological restoration in a field setting
