About the role
This position is responsible to work with residents needing restorative measures to improve or maintain their highest level of function according to Standards of Practice set by the facility. Follows plans set by Therapy and Nursing. This position reports directly to the Director of Staff Development or Director of Nursing. The position works closely with Therapy, who is responsible for teaching and monitoring those techniques that are beyond the scope of Restorative Nursing and works with the Restorative Nurse to perform basic skills and techniques within the scope of a Certified Nursing Assistant. The position provides direct care to residents according to established methods and techniques.
What you'll bring
- Serves as a resource and role model for Certified Nursing Assistants and assists them in following through on Level III programs.
- Documents program completion everyday as required by facility policy.
- Requires a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and two years of clinical Certified Nursing Assistant experience.
- Physical requirements include: ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and have manual dexterity.
- Must have the ability to safely perform the essential functions of this position without harm to self or others.
- Must possess adequate sight and hearing to meet the responsibilities of this position.
