About the role

TVG-Medulla is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This role owns the accurate and timely processing of multistate payroll, supports day-to-day benefits administration, and serves as a key resource for HR systems, workforce reporting, and people analytics. The position works heavily within Paychex and partners with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Operations to keep workforce data accurate and turn it into clear, actionable reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on payroll experience in a high-volume environment, is highly analytical and comfortable with large data sets, and has strong Excel skills. This position requires someone who can work independently, identify inconsistencies, meet payroll and reporting deadlines, and provide responsive support to employees and managers.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of payroll experience, including hands-on payroll processing in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and related payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience working with an HRIS, including extracting, validating, and analyzing employee data and developing recurring reports.
• Working knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, deductions, taxes, and employee data changes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data manipulation
• proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to identify trends and inconsistencies in payroll and employee data.
• Ability to organize and present data clearly for both HR and business audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple payroll and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and organizational information with discretion.
• Must perform other related duties and assist with project completion as needed.
