About the role

Collins Aerospace is currently seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join our Graphical Flight Plan Server (FPS) team with our Military Avionics Flight Management Applications department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The engineer that fills this role will work alongside a small team of FPS subject matter experts that support fixed and rotary wing platforms across the entire department.

• Collins Aerospace is currently seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join our Graphical Flight Plan Server (FPS) team with our Military Avionics Flight Management Applications department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
• The engineer that fills this role will work alongside a small team of FPS subject matter experts that support fixed and rotary wing platforms across the entire department.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in design, requirements development, and verification of deliverable software
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Experience in developing avionics displays and/or Flight Management Systems (FMS).
