This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. Koniag Operations Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Certified HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at a government facility in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional with comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance to support KOS and our government customer. The Certified HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within commercial and industrial facility settings. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and a commitment to ensuring all HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely.

What you'll bring

  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • completion of accredited HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship
  • Valid Journeyman HVAC License (or state equivalent for South Carolina)
  • EPA 608 Certification
  • Current annual continuing education certificates in HVAC or related fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, components, refrigeration cycles, and climate control principles
  • Strong understanding of heating systems including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and radiant heating
  • Proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and split systems
  • Expert knowledge of EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling, recovery, and disposal
