About the role
We’re looking for a Life Sciences Business Development Director who is knowledgeable about selling enterprise solutions directly to pharmaceutical commercial teams. The role is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans with the goal of securing new accounts and expanding revenues within assigned target and/or portfolio customers.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of Business Development experience including selling Enterprise, SaaS, Technology, and/or Data solutions into life sciences companies.
- Has consistently exceeded sales targets.
- Incredibly high ethical standards and an understanding of the importance of ethics and compliance in the life sciences industry.
- Experience developing and executing complex business strategies for life sciences clients.
- Brings established and strong relationships with US commercial leaders across the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop connections with prospects and clients quickly and easily, and to develop and maintain deeper business relationships based on trust.
- Strong business strategy and analytical skills (expert level interpreting relevant metrics).
- Exceptional business savvy with a solid ability to analyze client needs, objectives, and opportunities.
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal), including exceptional presentation skills and effective use of selling tools (e.g., PowerPoint slides, demos, etc.).
- Experience using Salesforce.com (or other CRM), Slack (or Teams), LinkedIn Navigator, and other prospecting/network tools and resources.
- A team player who works well with internal cross-functional teams and colleagues and utilizes resources appropriately.
- A self-starter and problem solver who goes beyond identification of problems to also suggest solutions.
