About the role
The Inventory & Safety Manager is responsible for the accuracy of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) through rigorous cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and stock optimization based on movement velocity. This role oversees returns management and key warehouse initiatives while maintaining an efficient, organized operation. In addition to inventory control, this role leads all OSHA, HIOSH, and Servco compliance initiatives, certifications, and risk mitigation efforts for the warehouse in partnership with Corporate Safety, ensuring a productive, organized, and accident-free environment.
What you'll bring
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum three years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or inventory control, or demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Inventory Reconciliation: Resolving gaps between system and physical stock.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing OSHA and corporate safety standards.
- Layout Optimization: Maximizing space and efficiency through slotting.
- Technical Instruction: Training staff on forklift and WMS usage.
- Discrepancy Investigation: Identifying root causes of inventory errors.
- Risk Assessment: Conducting inspections and accident investigations.
- Vendor Liaison: Managing returns and cores with suppliers.
