About the role
This is a fully immersive, on-the-ground clinical education role where you'll travel to healthcare facilities across the country and do what great nurse educators do best: meet learners where they are and guide them through the experiences that will shape their careers. As an Assistant Professor, Experiential Learning , you'll facilitate clinical instruction at our supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites — working across Nightingale's Practical Nursing, Practical to Associate Degree Nursing, and Baccalaureate Nursing programs. 📍 Travel: This role requires 100% travel to clinical sites.
What you'll bring
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
- Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license (state of residence) with the ability to obtain licensure in any required jurisdiction, including a valid multi-state license
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential — or a commitment to obtaining it within one year of hire
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years
- Current immunization and certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing
- Proficiency in modern technology platforms with the ability to adapt quickly to new software
- 2 years of experience supervising clinical education activities
- 1 year of experience delivering Concept-Based Nursing Education
- 1 year of distance education experience
- Familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management software
