(WJE), where we are seeking a project-manager-level Structural Engineer (i.e., Senior Associate) to join our dynamic team of architects and engineers. What you'll bring
- Licensed Structural Engineer (SE)
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- in civil/structural engineering
- Minimum eight years of relevant structural engineering industry experience
- non-destructive evaluation and instrumentation
- seismic/structural analysis and design for repair, retrofit, and rehabilitation of existing structures
- evaluation of bridge structures
- and/or specialty consulting of new systems and materials from design through construction)
- , including knowledge of how structural elements are affected by Hawaii’s tropical environment and techniques to mitigate damage
- and established rapport with local contractors, designers, building officials, and others in Hawaii’s unique culture
- Excellent technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and attend meetings at various office, field, and construction sites
