About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will support plastics manufacturing operations by handling materials, operating production equipment, and completing work in accordance with safety and quality standards. You will work with production team members, leads, and operations partners to meet daily output and schedule commitments. This role requires flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and holidays. This role requires frequent moving and/or carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to stand for a majority of the shift; safely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; lift above your shoulders; and climb, squat, kneel, twist, push, and bend frequently during each shift. This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Maine or Washington.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
- Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information.
- 1+ year of experience operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance.
- Experience with warehouse staging and inventory systems (e.g., handheld barcode scanners, basic WMS).
- Completed safety training such as OSHA-10 or equivalent and demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
