About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to support our Oil and Gas business line and can be based in any of our office locations of Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange, Westlake Village, Oakland, San Luis Obispo (SLO), Richmond, or San Diego, California. This role will lead the successful delivery of complex environmental projects for clients in the refining, industrial, and related sectors. The selected candidate will oversee one or more projects from planning through execution, providing strategic project leadership, managing risk, ensuring financial performance, and fostering long-term client relationships through the consistent delivery of high-quality project outcomes. What you'll bring

  • BA/BS and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience supporting oil & gas, refining, industrial, or energy-sector clients.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-disciplinary environmental projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality performance.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with experience growing key accounts and securing repeat business.
  • Experience leading project teams, mentoring project managers, and managing project risk, contracts, and financial performance.
  • Professional certification or registration preferred, such as PG, PE, CHMM, PMP, or a related credential.
