As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will lead the development, design, build, and commissioning of power conversion systems at Long Wall to support product tests, operations, and launches. You will have the opportunity to be a key member of a small team of mechanical, fluid, and electrical engineers working to develop innovative deployable launch solutions that enable the rapid deployment of Long Wall launch and test systems.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field AND 10+ years of relevant experience.
- or a Master’s degree AND 8 years of experience.
- or PhD AND 5 years of experience
- Relevant Experience: working in space, aerospace, or equivalent professional environments with direct hands-on experience developing complex electrical power conversion systems.
- Expertise in power electronics design, including switch-mode topologies and feedback control
- Hands-on experience taking electrical hardware from concept through production
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer)
- Strong skills in lab-based testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of circuits and components
- Ability to collaborate across mechanical, thermal, software, and manufacturing teams
- M.S. from an accredited university in engineering or science
- 5+ years of electronic product experience designing hardware from concept through production
- strong emphasis on full life cycle development of new hardware products and not small incremental updates to legacy hardware.
