Test and Operations Engineers are the end users and final guardians of Long Wall hardware and engines before testing, and of the rocket before flight. Test and Operations Engineers oversee everything from hardware testing and vehicle integration to ground systems and payload processing. As a Test and Operations Engineer, you will aid in the development, implementation, and operation of test and launch systems at our Long Beach and El Segundo facilities, our test site in Mojave, and our launch sites. Responsibilities include preparing and operating sites and hardware for engine testing, launch ground system testing, flight hardware testing, and vehicle launch. What you'll bring
- Minimum of 1+ years of industry, project, or research experience in test/launch operations, hardware design/development, or manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline)
- Willing to travel to support test and launch operations
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
- Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence
- Ability to pick up to 50lbs
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- This is the lowest-to-highest compensation range we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
