About the role
Transportation Business Line in Spain is seeking to hire a Senior Structural Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer to deliver high quality structural engineering solutions. This role is pivotal to supporting the growth of our Structural Engineering discipline and delivering innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including railway stations, public buildings, refurbishments, and high-rise structures. With a strong track record of successfully delivering structural design solutions in multiple countries, our team is looking for a seasoned professional who can combine technical expertise with strategic leadership. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. In this role, you will lead the technical aspects of structural design projects, coordinating efforts with the project manager to deliver high-quality results. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and expertise to enhance their technical skills and support their professional development while strengthening client relationships. What you'll bring
- Master's degree in Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (recognized degree in Spain).
- At least 20 years of experience in structural design and calculations, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions for complex building projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the technical aspects of structural design projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and other stakeholders acting as a technical advisor.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering technical excellence within teams.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
