About the role
Austin Bazaar is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President / Head of Finance & Accounting to lead our India-based Finance & Accounting team and support our U.S. operations. This role will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, inventory finance, financial planning, and business performance analysis. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who is highly analytical, commercially minded, experienced with U.S. accounting standards, and comfortable working closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing finance or accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and financial controls.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or working closely with U.S. leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, working capital management, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Experience with inventory accounting, inventory valuation, gross margin analysis, and profitability reporting.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with U.S. leadership and internal teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
