About the role
Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for a role where you can focus on practicing medicine - not insurance authorizations, productivity quotas, or running a busy clinic? Headlands Research is seeking a seasoned Advanced Practice Provider to serve as a full-time Sub-Investigator at our established clinical research site in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced provider who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients, values clinical autonomy, and wants to continue using their assessment, diagnostic, and medical decision-making skills every day. As the sole full-time medical provider at our Myrtle Beach site, you'll serve as the primary medical resource for a dedicated team of approximately 15-20 clinical research professionals. You will collaborate with part-time and contract providers.
What you'll bring
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in South Carolina (or eligible for licensure)
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a licensed Advanced Practice Provider
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in one or more of the following settings:
- Internal Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Primary Care
- Urgent Care
- Emergency Medicine
- Strong physical assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for working alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams
