About the role
The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and organized High School Transition Coordinator Advisor to join our EDGE Program. The High School Transition Coordinator Advisor provides individualized transition services to students participating in the EDGE Program. Working closely with students, families, schools, employers, and community partners, the Coordinator helps students develop the skills and confidence needed for successful employment and independent living. This is a primarily community based position with flexibility to work remotely. Attendance at scheduled on campus meetings, community events, workshops, and student activities is required. Some evening and occasional Saturday hours are required.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience with those who experience blindness or vision impairment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft and web applications
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple students and priorities.
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation required.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with visual aids and accessibility technology preferred
