About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer for Interiors within the Vehicle Engineering team, you will be responsible to design, release and deliver, from concept to production, vehicle interior components and systems. These could include instrument panels, hard moldings, soft moldings, seating or interior lighting required for the integration of self-driving systems or otherwise unique to the requirements of a self-driving vehicle.

What you'll bring

• ·   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or equivalent practical experience.
• ·   5 years of automotive engineering experience that includes design and release of interior systems (e.g. instrument panels, hard moldings, soft moldings, seating, and interior lighting)
• ·   Experience with CAD design tools and process, and experience overseeing production drawing releases
• ·   Experience successfully working with industrial design on concept feasibility
• ·   Proven track record of delivery from concept through launch
• ·   Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and experimental hardware.
• ·   Self-starter with creative and critical thinking capabilities, and demonstrates the ability to work autonomously and maintain communication with interested parties
• ·   Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
