About the role
We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer who will make significant contributions to the development of our advanced cell therapy manufacturing platform. The primary focus of this role is to be responsible for maintaining and refining system requirements and architecture. Create and maintain documents, models & diagrams describing functional and physical decompositions, interface definitions, and flow diagrams. Support architecture definition by working with subsystem design teams to align overlapping design requirements /constraints and drive teams in developing concepts, evaluating risks, and efficiently converging on a design path. Provide support to sub-system engineers in the development of models that guide lower-level design decisions. Assist teams with complex root-cause analysis in which there are many possible root causes that involve various areas of physics, using a structured approach for problem-solving. Work closely with other members of the team to formulate, execute, and analyze verification and validation activities. Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company scales up from R&D systems to full-scale operations.
What you'll bring
- Masters degree in Engineering, Physics or Biotech Automation, and at least one year of experience as Systems Engineer, Applications Engineer, R&D Engineer or Integration Engineer in a biotechnology field, including a year of experience with MATLAB or Python and working knowledge of at least one data visualization or statistical tool (e.g. JMP, Minitab or Tableau)
