What you'll bring
- US Citizen with a Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL with experience in database design and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Oracle database administration, with experience supporting geospatial data.
- Demonstrated experience migrating Oracle databases to PostgreSQL, including resolving compatibility issues.
- Experience implementing and maintaining STIG compliance for databases.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, PL/pgSQL, or PL/SQL) for data processing.
- Expertise in geospatial data standards, formats, and models.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale database migrations and optimize geospatial data workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team efforts.
