About the role
As Commercial and Contract Manager- Japan, you will be working closely with the Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Investment Manager, Managing Director Japan and reporting to the Procurement and Commercial Director to deliver the execution strategy during the development and construction phase as well leading commercial supply chain liaison activities. You will be responsible for the overall contracting strategy policies and processes for the entire Japan project pipeline, ensuring contractual suites are fit for purpose, consistent and achieve the best possible risk position for Eku Energy.
What you'll bring
- · You bring extended expertise and professional experience in construction contract development and negotiations on long term infrastructure projects
- · You possess sound commercial judgement and strong communication and leadership skills
- · You have complimentary experience from an operating business within the energy sector
- · You have an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms of the Japanese power market
- · You have an understanding of best practices for project development, BESS and BOP contract management and asset management across multiple technology classes
- · You have experience of construction contracts along with a high level of flexibility to cooperate with project partners in a constructive manner.
- · Organisational: Entrepreneurial thinking and acting - problem solving capability - innovation capability.
