About the role

ICON is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to help in the development of ICON’s latest print systems on the Phoenix Team. As a Mechanical Engineer at ICON, you will be in a hands-on development and technical design role impacting the creation and support of well-designed, maintainable mechanical systems. This is a full-time, onsite role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX office.

What you'll bring

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of component manufacturing processes (including machining, rapid prototyping, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience leading large system development projects.
• Proficiency using parametric solid modeling and CAD software to design and document parts and assemblies.
• SolidWorks and PDM experience required.
• Familiarity with making drawings and applicable drawing and tolerancing standards.
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
• Adept at communicating in a collaborative team environment and seeking optimum solutions with other team members.
• Knowledge of the AGILE SCRUM methodology of project management.
• A service-oriented attitude when in a support role.
• Ability to prioritize and stay cool in a dynamic start-up environment.
