About the role
We’re seeking RNs with USGIV experience for full-time roles, with paid training into PICC line insertion. Current scheduling needs include evening/night shifts, with opportunities such as 12PM-12AM or 2 PM–2 AM schedules. As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. If you are looking for a change and tired of 12 hours on your feet or rushing from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this would be the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs.
What you'll bring
- Registered Nurse with current license
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
- Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
- Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
- Must possess a smart phone
- Must LOVE vascular access!
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
- Prior vascular access or PICC experience preferred
- Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
