About the role
The responsibilities of this position include planning, implementing/conducting and evaluating appropriate activity opportunities for patients. This role supports the health care team in promoting therapeutic services and/or programs. This role is also involved in conducting/implementing community and hospital based programs or special events as designated.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Continuing Care 60 Days Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Continuing Care 60 Days
- Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
- CRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems within 90 days
- 1 year of relevant experience working with the appropriate population served (geriatric, TBI, children, teenagers, or volunteers) and in the appropriate setting (long term care, children's hospital) - Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate
- 1 year of relevant experience program planning and development
- Familiarity with music, crafts, exercise and group leadership- Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate
- CRT-Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified (CTRS) - NCTRC National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification Upon Hire preferred
