What you'll bring

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Firefighter certification
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application
  • Must possess or be able to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver's license without record of suspension or revocation.
  • Must be able to read and write the English language.
  • Knowledge of fire suppression & prevention principles, procedures, techniques & equipment
  • Knowledge of Emergency Medical Services procedures, techniques, principals & equipment.
  • Ability to learn the operation of fire suppression & other emergency equipment.
  • Ability to learn to apply standard firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials & fire prevention techniques
  • Ability to act effectively in emergency & stressful situations.
  • Ability to apply standard firefighting & EMS techniques to specific situation.
  • Ability to follow verbal & written instructions.
