What you'll bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Firefighter certification
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application
- Must possess or be able to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver's license without record of suspension or revocation.
- Must be able to read and write the English language.
- Knowledge of fire suppression & prevention principles, procedures, techniques & equipment
- Knowledge of Emergency Medical Services procedures, techniques, principals & equipment.
- Ability to learn the operation of fire suppression & other emergency equipment.
- Ability to learn to apply standard firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials & fire prevention techniques
- Ability to act effectively in emergency & stressful situations.
- Ability to apply standard firefighting & EMS techniques to specific situation.
- Ability to follow verbal & written instructions.
