About the role

FMD is seeking a full-time skilled Electrician to perform journey-level activities, which may include installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, who will deliver quality work and have a strong focus on customer service to join our O&M team. The workgroup consists of numerous crafts and specialty trades, where teamwork is a priority, working in County buildings 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational education in the electrical field may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement
• Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire and have an acceptable driving record
• Must complete a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) background investigation to access County detention facilities
• Must be proficient with and capable of using basic hand tools, benders, cordless power tools, and electrical testing equipment, including a multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter, and circuit tracer.
• Must be capable of working with aerial lifts upon completion of county-provided training.
• Must be capable of using various forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to fulfill the requirements of the position.
