About the role
Quick Hire Staffing is seeking a contract Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process development, tooling design, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting prototype and production builds, coordinating with suppliers and contract manufacturers, and ensuring products are manufactured efficiently while meeting quality and customer requirements. The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in supporting fabrication, assembly, process validation, documentation, and production scalability in fast-paced manufacturing environments. This position works closely with operations, quality, engineering, and customers to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, product development, or related experience
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical and manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, soldering, or related production methods
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process development, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience supporting electromechanical products and manufacturing processes preferred
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing and SMT processes
- Experience supporting automation, robotics, autonomous systems, or aerospace/defense products
