About the role

To strengthen our team at the Orlando location, we are looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer . As a key member of MicroVision's Hardware Design Engineering team, you will collaborate with various technical teams in the company to design and take into production market defining Automotive LiDAR product. The Staff Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the full product development lifecycle of complex circuit boards for automotive LiDAR systems. This role contributes to the design, integration, validation, launch, and sustainment of electrical hardware, working closely with cross functional teams to deliver robust, high-performance products suitable for volume production. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in board level electrical design and hands-on problem solving across development and production phases.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in electrical hardware development, with significant experience in board level design and product development
• Strong experience with schematic capture, circuit analysis, component selection, and PCB development processes
• Experience supporting products through multiple phases of the development lifecycle, including design, integration, validation, production, and sustainment
• Experience with analog, digital, mixed signal, and power circuit design
• Strong understanding of hardware development best practices, including design reviews, risk reduction, and documentation discipline
• Ability to work effectively across cross functional teams in a fast paced product development environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience with SI/PI analysis using HyperLynx
• Experience with complex sensing, imaging, or electro optical systems
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
