About the role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work onsite in Richardson, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA. As a S enior S ystems Engineer within Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS), you will apply your technical expertise to the development of advanced Strategic Nuclear Deterrence capabilities, contributing to the design, integration, and validation of secure, resilient mission systems. We are seeking motivated engineers who thrive in solving complex problems, driving technical execution, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions for critical missions.

- In this role, you will collaborate across geographically distributed teams to support systems and cybersecurity engineering efforts for next-generation network, compute, and storage technologies—from early-stage development through accreditation and production.

- Experience with network architectures using physical and virtual networks with VMWare or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Proven experience of mentoring a team of Systems Engineers.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in systems engineering to include capturing customer requirements, operations concept development, deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements.
