About the role
Trane in the Carolinas is hiring for a HVAC Controls Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware and software design activities for building automation systems.
What you'll bring
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas
- or three (3) plus years of experience in the HVAC or adjacent industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply
- we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
- Experience with a drafting/ design program is required.
- Windows operating system and Microsoft Office product knowledge.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and network architecture
- Familiarity with the concepts of new construction and renovation/retrofit, performance contracting, and service project management preferred.
- Familiarity with operation and design of HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Understanding of industry standard protocol and requirements for integration preferred.
