Airgas is hiring an Area Safety Manager! We are looking for you!

Minimum 2+ years of experience in safety, risk management, or compliance, with direct exposure to Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) distribution. (Entry-level candidates with strong foundational knowledge and high aptitude are also encouraged to apply).
Licensure & Travel: Valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to travel 50%-70% of the time.
Geography: Must reside within the Eastern Time Zone.
Technical Skills: Strong working proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Keep).
Communication & Resilience: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulations, draft clear reports, resolve field conflicts, and communicate effectively under high-pressure situations.
Certifications: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other recognized safety credentials.
Driving Credentials: Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or commercial driving experience.
Safe Driving / Investigation Programs: Certified in or experienced with Smith System (or similar safe-driving programs) and TapRoot root-cause analysis.
Operational Software Experience: Prior experience using Intelex, Samsara / Lytx (driver safety camera platforms), Geotab (ELD), TenStreet, or SAP Concur.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent military experience).
