About the role
MGT is the first AI-driven, neo-insurer focused on evolving commercial P&C insurance for the brokers and small business owners. By combining the expertise of industry veterans with state-of-the-art technology, we are ushering in the next evolution of commercial insurance and working to move the industry forward through the use of modern technology, better processes, and a rock-star team. We seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, and excel in autonomous roles. We're hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to build and operate our vertical AI product surface at MGT that our brokers, insureds, and internal teams use every day. This is not a roadmap-and-jira role – product and engineering lanes are merging. Product talent at MGT operates fluidly across product strategy, data, design, and engineering. You will set the vision, sharpen the bet, ship the wedge, and then drive operational excellence on top of it.
What you'll bring
- Compelling storytelling skills.
- Product is becoming increasingly technical but the bedrock of the role are communication skills that drive teams forward.
- Experience building AI systems.
- You've led a team that built an AI-enabled system beyond a simple chat bot and can speak fluently about successes and pitfalls taking it to market.
- Strong technical literacy.
- You actively contribute to your team’s codebase, get your own data, and are equally comfortable whiteboarding systems or talking unit economics.
- Growth stage experience.
- References from peer department managers (Engineering, GTM, etc.) that loved working with you.
- MGT is a small high accountability organization and that's a plus for you.
- A background in insurance, insuretech, or financial services.
- A passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth experience.
- Amplitude, Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly, or equivalent instrumentation experience.
