About the role

This year-round opportunity is intended to support Calista Shareholders who are interested in pursuing training and developing the skills necessary to work as Heavy Equipment Operators through the MAPTS Rural Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program . Applicants may apply to this evergreen opportunity while pursuing or preparing to participate in the MAPTS training program.

What you'll bring

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Participation in or successful completion of the MAPTS Rural Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program is required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, construction experience, labor experience
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet applicable Company driving requirements.
• Ability to pass applicable drug, driving, and background screening.
• Ability and willingness to work in remote locations throughout Alaska, including extended schedules and travel as project needs require.
• Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements associated with heavy equipment and construction work.
• Calista Shareholder, Descendant/Spouse of a Shareholder, and/or Shareholder/Descendant of other ANCSA Regional Corporation status preferred.
• or experience working outdoors is preferred but not required.
