About the role

Description: Support the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) Traffic Section staff in the areas of router/switch hardware replacement, maintenance and support, system integration, and support of communication peripherals throughout the State. PLEASE NOTE: While this position has an end date of 9/30/2017, it is planned to extend beyond that time with additional funding that is in process.

What you'll bring

• The candidate should have at least 2 years experience in computer hardware implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux platform operations, hardware/software functions and capabilities.
• Prior experience in estimating and scheduling own work under minimal supervision.
• Proven track record of resolving all assigned issues in accordance with established service level agreements.
• Prior experience documenting configurations/processes/troubleshooting efforts.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Candidate will be required to travel in the support role throughout the state as required for ITMS site/field visits.
• Contract is renewable annually, not a short term project effort.
