About the role

As a Senior IP Network Engineer, you'll own the design, operation, and evolution of a highly resilient global network. You'll work across datacenter fabric, WAN, and security infrastructure and you'll have a direct hand in the automation and tooling that keeps it all running at scale.

What you'll bring

• As a Senior IP Network Engineer at Bandwidth you will work on projects supporting and enhancing a highly resilient global network.
• You will work with network technologies from multiple vendors including, but not limited to, Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto and help Bandwidth continue to strengthen parts of our network infrastructure with tooling and automation.
• You will learn how multiple pieces of network infrastructure interact seamlessly to provide Bandwidth's customers unparalleled voice quality.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with service provider network infrastructure
• Deep expertise in datacenter networking: VxLAN, EVPN, BGP EVPN control plane, and leaf-spine architectures
• Strong Palo Alto experience: firewall policy management, Panorama, zone-based segmentation
• Solid routing foundation: BGP (iBGP/eBGP), OSPF, and MPLS in production environments
• Experience with Cisco (ASR, Nexus/NX-OS) and Juniper (MX, SRX) platforms
• Scripting or development experience — Python, Ansible, or similar
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
