About the role
The Quality Engineering (QE) Domain Lead position at National Life Group is a key leadership role responsible for end-to-end quality within a portfolio of business domains. This is a unique opportunity to affect change and directly improve the lives of our customers and employees. This role demands a high degree of independence, organizational skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to juggle multiple projects and competing schedules. Collaboration, an open mind, humility, and ability to influence others will be instrumental to success. The position reports to the Head of Quality Engineering. You will be part of a 100+ member team that continuously drives innovation while delivering end-to-end solutions in support of National Life’s business needs. This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 14+ years of progressive technology experience, including significant experience in Quality Engineering, software testing, engineering, or related disciplines.
- 3–5 years of demonstrated progressive technical leadership experience leading a geographically dispersed, global workforce.
- Life & Annuity insurance industry experience
- Strong QE knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with automated testing tools and Agentic AI
- Ability to think creatively and drive innovation
- Ability to work collaboratively across business units and IT customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical
- Hands-on experience with QE tools such as Zephyr Enterprise, Tosca, and/or NeoLoad
- Broad IT technical experience
